Thanks Derwyll, for the kind words.
I think what I have learned is that this event has gotten bigger and it's
more than I can do without a significant amount of help.
So what I am looking for is some COMMITTED volunteers who will help plan
this over the next year so we can make a bigger better publicized event.
I was asked why I did not ask for help before by some.
I will have to tell you that I have been asking for volunteers for a year
now. What I got was Daniel, who did vendors this year.
While a lot of the work is the day OF the event, there are some things that
can be done to help promote the event which I was not able to do because I
simply got busy. Granted, I also had to deal with my husband having brain
surgery this year! So I think I've got a decent excuse there :)
Anyway, We need to have a raffle coordinator who can come to some planning
meetings and a volunteer coordinator to help find people to do things.
Scott/Scan and Wes did a great job on security. There are a few things we
need for the day of event we didn't have this year, but I think we can
accomplish a lot if we plan ahead a bit.
Timing for one, I will not schedule it at the beginning of the month again,
it's a bad shopping time. Another thing, I don't think we want to go back to
McAdam, even though it's a lovely huge park. If we can find something
comparable which is cheaper that would be great. Poncitlan Square is a nice
location but I was wondering about something indoors instead.
I'd love to hear ideas from people about all this.

And let us know what you think is a good idea. I want to have a post- event
meeting soon to discuss ideas. Perhaps we can talk about some of them at the
moot this coming Sunday, and announce a meeting date.
BTW, I have lots of shirts available for this year's event so if you want
one, get it... I will try and bring them to the moot.
