[AVPPride] Meeting results from Planning Meeting

First off I do still need a volunteer for our First Pantheistic Center
Board, to be a recording secretary. I can do the minutes but it's a lot
easier to keep track of what needs to get done if someone else is double
checking me. :)

We had a number of volunteers pop at the meeting, many thanks to you all!
I am cc'ing some of you on this, if you want please consider joining the

Pagan Pride Day Planning meeting Volunteer List:
 
President FPCAV, and AVPPD Coordinator- Lisa Morgenstern lisa at fpcav.org ;

Responsible for leading meetings; scheduling meetings, setting agenda, and
monitoring work of all the other volunteers, also PR for the event as well
as responsible for the entire Pagan Pride Day event in the AV

            Responsible for fundraising and collection of
money/deposit/budget
 
Recording Secretary, FPCAV ________ POSITION OPEN______
 
Vendor Coordinator: Daniel Gotlieb gwahir1 at verizon.net; vendors at avpagans.org
            Solicits vendors to come and participate in the event, collects
funds and passes them to Treasurer, verifies their sales permit status and
determines vendor location and check in the day of the event. Also seeks
food vendor (singular) to help offer food at the event for the day.
 
Volunteer/Raffle Coordinator: Nan Boyster and Shannon M.
volunteers at avpagans.org
            (Coordinates getting the raffle items together and runs the
raffle, brings tickets and coordinates solicitation of donations for the
raffle., answers to the Treasurer) Also coordinates other volunteers in set
up/tear down of event.
 
Children¹s Coordinator: Teresa Jackson angelshke at aol.com
            Coordinates children¹s activities
 
Entertainment and Workshop Coordinator:____STILL OPEN !!_______________
            Seeks entertainers to perform at the event, as well as
workshops, works closely with coordinator who helps create a schedule where
music does not conflict with rituals or workshops. Need to locate sound
system (donated?) and  several more Œacts¹ to perform. We have Hauk booked
for this year already.
 
Security Chief:_Scott B. aka ³Skandrannan² skandrannan at verizon.net
            Coordinates volunteer security personnel for the event, will be
there from start to finish, uses radio and keeps in touch with coordinator
should there be problems or a need to call police, consults with PPD
Coordinator. (Lisa)
 
 
Meeting notes:
 
Lisa will set up email forwarders for the volunteer coordinator and the
vendor coordinator (see above).
Nan and Shannon volunteered to coordinate the raffle and seek other
volunteers; Shannon will inquire about a PA system
Another volunteer offered to create some Œambient music¹ paganish CDs to
play during the event.
 
Skandrannon will be Security Chief, he will also lead a Bardic Circle at the
event (workshop slot)
 
Debbie and Rhonda said that they may know someone who will donate a bounce
house for the event.
Lisa stated that we will need to seek some alternate insurance for the event
this year; and it will cost something (previously she did a rider on her
homeowner¹s insurance but it¹s time not to risk the house).
 
The event will be October 7th, Saturday, at Poncitlan Square.
We may need to rent chairs and tables, probably will need to rent
portapotties this year.
 
Request was made for the shirts to be black this year.
 
Discussion ensued about public rituals;
Nan has offered to lead a public blot at Summer Solstice followed by a
potluck. She will have non alcoholic mead and will do a talk about the
ceremony beforehand for people who are new. June 17th.
 
Next Pagan Pride Planning Meeting will be held Friday June 16th at Lisa¹s
house.
