I was wondering the details of Pagan Pride Day. I have to make sure I have it off and am confused about when where and what time. There is a group of us who would love to attend.

That sounds like a good game plan. I'm hoping something like that would work in our community.
If we are going to implement a plan like this we need to come up with a game plan and schedule before introducing it.
When would be a good time for the First Pantheistic Center and all interested to meet? I know I am available Monday October 9th and Monday October 30th.

Also,
I have a fundraiser dinner scheduled for FPCAV at Johnny Carino's on Monday, October 16th. This will be a ticketed dinner, people can purchase a ticket for $15, this will get them into the dinner that includes a spaghetti plate and all you can eat soup and salad. The dinner is definately enough to fill you up.
The fundraiser will have a Silent Auction and PartyLite for sale. FPCAV will make 20% of the sales, $5 per ticket, and money off of the silent auction. Hopefully this would be enough to help with paying for events in the AV until dues can be implemeted.

We have!! Not with PPD but with a local group that I founded about
three years ago - the KW Pagan Temple. For more info you can see our
website - http://www.kwpagantemple.com

Basic idea... the first year we did not charge dues, but had a flat
amount to pay at events (I think it was $3) to help pay for rental costs
and supplies (we mostly rent space out from unitarians). We wanted to
prove what we wanted to do before asking for dues. The next year we
implemented dues (started as $35 per person, but we actually reduced it
this year because we are making more than enough to sustain ourselves,
now it is $30 per member). We also have a "half year" rate of $20. Our
membership year goes from ostara to ostara, and the half year rate
starts at Mabon. It was better than having someone track down who paid
when and when their dues are up again.

We also added a childrens rate for 10 - 15 year olds (under 10 is free
to attend events but aren't added as members, this age was chosen by
demand for membership at age 10 by two members). 10 - 15 is half priced
for the full year rate (so $15). This was to avoid having to define
Family to have a family rate (we had some who wanted four adults and two
kids to count as a family.... it got into murky waters).

Non Members can attend our events as well. It was $3 per person, but no
one EVER brought change, so we had to up it to $5 to make it easier on us.

We host circles for every sabbat as well as workshops once a month - all
of which are open to the public. Members have access to an egroup and
treasurers reports, and members meetings which drive what we are doing.
Members also have some members only events (ie a mabon feast we are
having this evening). Members are also the ones who are able to plan and
implement circles etc.

I hope this helps. Feel free to email me off list if you have any
questions ;)
